Our first poem assignment was to write about President Barack Obama's First 100 days!

BREAKING NEWS

Breaking News

The President loves his Blackberry

Wait...he doesn't have an iPhone?

Breaking News

The President ate breakfast

Wait...he doesn't use syrup

Breaking News

The President plays basketball for his workout 

Wait...he doesn't swim or jog?

Breaking News

The President's pants are too tight

Wait...he's not a thug with baggy pants

SERIOUSLY?! Is this Breaking News?

Focus on the issues

We're finally our of the "Bushes"

And this is all you've got?

The poor guy can't win for losing

It's all about his skin color

When his decisions affect all shades and sizes

When will realize?

Hate him or love him

He IS OUR PRESIDENT

Criticize all you like...

But this President has put a bigger dent in America's issues in the first 100 days than the last President did in the last 8

So let the man breathe 

And do his job

Focus on this issues

You know the important ones

Like healthcare, education, this never ending war

Otherwise just give me a BREAK....NEWS!

POETRY....it's my thing.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WRITING POETRY....so I decided to register for that class this semester and I love it sooo much. I want you bloggers to go on this journey with me...so I will be sharing the poetry assignments that I'm given in hopes that you guys respond to the topic!

My professor sometimes gives us writing exercises in class...this was the first one...

Turn "I went into the room and it was bare" into something CONCRETE!

My response...

As I stepped into four white walls

My feet screeched against the squeaky clean floor

As I began to wander  I encountered nothing but coldness

It was like a blank canvas with so much potential allowing my imagination to flow...

How would you have changed it?

BAck to Life...BAck to Reality

So I've been back on he highest of 7 hills [FAMU] for 3 weeks now and this is the first opportunity I've had to blog.-----> I've been BUSY to say the least.

FRESHMAN WEEK- Being a member of The BADST [beta.alpha.chapter.of.Delta.Sigma.Theta] We helped freshmen move in to their dorms. I loved being able to help. Only thing was I got str8 off the plane from Cali slept 1.15 minutes and moved them allll day...then went to the club. HEY THIS IS THE LIFE I LIVE.

WELCOME WEEK---> The BADST Concierge was a HUGE success. My LSs and I finally got to produce our first week. It was INCREDIBLE! We had spa days.girls night inn. bachelors only.we even got to dress up for our party Penthouse Sweet. french maid theme was sooo cute.

3rd week of school...already? Sadly, it felt like the first. This is the first time I felt like I was a real student with time to focus on class and homework. I REALLY love my classes. Kinda over school though.

Labor Day Weekend. The most eventful I've ever had! Went to Miami Thursday to see mommy get married on Friday and left early Saturday morning to attend the game in Tally and Sunday was my first Nite Kap and it was SOOO MUCH FUN!

I love my life and everything in it. Sometimes I long for other things, but I know they will come in their own time. I will try to be a better blogger.
